Since 2009, We Are The Bronx has served as the premiere leadership development organization in the Bronx.

WHO WE ARE:

We Are The Bronx, a program of the JCRC-NY is a year-long professional development and networking program for Bronx non-profit leaders. WATB is one of four borough-based Fellowships, and seeks to address the Bronx specific challenges.

It is dedicated to advancing the next generation of the Bronx’s diverse leaders by teaching and challenging participants from various ethnic, cultural, and religious affiliations to work together on collective issues facing the borough.  Fellows learn how they can help Bronx communities share resources, manage dynamic tensions, and collaborate on solving problems by using diversity as an asset to themselves, their agencies, their communities and the Bronx.

Since 2009, WATB has trained over 100 Bronx non-profit leaders, representing a cross-section of Bronx non-profits, community-based organizations, government agencies, and faith-based organizations.

The information I learned and the implementation I have been able to utilize has been beyond my wildest dreams. I researched, wrote and submitted a grant request for an organizational project, which had never received any grant funding in the past. IT WAS FUNDED! Needless to say I was so pleased, and when asked how I did it, my response was “We Are the Bronx Fellowship” training involvement.

Thank you to all who make this possible!

We Are The Bronx is a project of the Center for Bronx Non-Profits, which is generously funded by JPMorgan Chase, New York Community Trust, and the Simon Bolivar Foundation and receives consultation from Hostos Community College and The Center for Community Leadership at JCRC-NY. Because of their support we are able to host ALL of our meetings in the Bronx community.
